The lease model

We own the lights. You get the house.

Three things come with every job.

We own them

Nothing to buy up front.

Your quote covers commercial-grade LEDs, cords, timers, clips and labor. There is no box of tangled lights in your garage in February.

We fix them

Free repairs, unlimited.

A section goes dark the week before your party. You call. We come out. No charge and no argument.

We store them

Labeled and put away.

Every strand comes down labeled to the exact corner it came from and goes into our storage. Next year the crew shows up already knowing your house.

  • All lights, cords, timers and clips included — you buy nothing.
  • Takedown in January is part of the price.
  • A light goes out? We come fix it free, every time.
  • We store your lights all year, labeled and ready.

Our promise: your lights work all season, or we come fix them free.

Or send your address — we’ll call you.

How it works

Four steps. You are on the phone for ten minutes of them.

  1. Today · 10 minutes

    We talk on the phone.

You tell us what you want lit. We pull your house up on satellite and street view while we’re talking, so we can see the roofline and count the trees without driving out. Big or heavily wooded properties are the exception, and those we come look at in person.

  2. Within a day

You get a written estimate and a picture.

The estimate lands in your inbox with a mockup of your own house lit the way we’re proposing, so you approve a design you have already seen.

Example of a lighting mockup sent with an estimate.
  3. Sept–Nov · install day

    The crew comes out.

We text when we’re on the way. Lights go up, wires get hidden, everything goes on a timer set to your hours, and we check every bulb before we leave. You don’t need to be home.

  4. January

It all comes down, already paid for.

We pull everything, label it, and take it back to storage.

Price

What it costs.

Most homes land between $1,200 and $3,000. Our smallest job is $1,000. That price covers the lights, the install, free repairs all season, and takedown in January.

Most homes

$1,200–$3,000

$1,000 minimum.

  • Roofline

Priced by the foot, and by how hard it is to reach safely.

  • Trees

Priced by strand. A twenty-foot redwood takes a lot more than a six-foot maple.

  • Features

Garland, wreaths, pillars, railings, and door and garage outlines.

  • Access

Steep pitch, three storeys, or a long carry. All of that costs more crew time.

Proof

What people say.

“Incredible attention to detail.”

I wanted to hire someone for years but always put it off. Well worth the money for the time I saved.
Tim Rauch, Dentist

“I never could have done this myself.”

I’ve put up lights plenty of times in my life. Finally hired Electric Elf and they did awesome.
Ashaleigh Joudrey, PE Teacher

“Super easy scheduling.”

It all happened fast and on time. I didn’t want to spend a bunch of time on lights, and I didn’t have to.

Questions

Answers before you call.

Do I own the lights?

No, and that’s on purpose. We own them, which is what lets us guarantee them, fix them free all season, and store them for you. You’re paying for a lit house from November to January, not a box of lights.

Is takedown extra?

No. One price covers install in the fall and takedown in January. Takedown starts the first week of January and runs through the month.

What if a section goes out?

Call us and we come fix it. No charge, no limit on how many times. Our crews carry spare strands, bulbs, cord and plugs, so most fixes happen on the spot.

Do you need to come out to quote?

Usually not. Most homes we quote over the phone in about ten minutes using satellite and street view. Large or heavily wooded lots we come see in person.

When should I book?

September and October. We install from late September through mid-December, and December dates go first.

How do the lights turn on?

Everything goes on a timer set to the hours you pick. Most people choose 5pm to 11pm. You never touch a switch.

What kind of lights do you use?

Commercial-grade LED only, warm white or color. Not the strings from a big-box store. We also do garland, lit wreaths, and wrapped trees up to about twenty feet.

Do I need to be home?

No. We text when the crew is on the way and again when we’re done. Just tell us about gate codes or dogs.

Ten minutes on the phone and it’s off your list.
